- Microcurrent Facial
A microcurrent facial is a nonsurgical face-lift. It uses low-voltage electrical currents to lift and tighten muscles in the face which trains the facial muscles to stay firmer. A microcurrent facial also stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin, which makes facial features more defined. You go to the gym to workout your body muscles, why not try a microcurrent facial to “workout your face”?!
One of the main benefits of microcurrent facials is that they make the skin firmer and tighter by increasing collagen and elastin production. Microcurrent facials help boost ATP production, which is the “fuel” cells need to carry out their functions. ATP enhances cellular metabolism and boosts collagen and elastin production which helps tone the facial muscles by fueling more muscular movement. Because facial muscles are attached directly to the skin, stronger facial muscles lead to firmer (and less wrinkled!) skin on the face. Microcurrent facials also increase blood circulation to the face which improves nutrient and oxygen supply. When the tissues receive more blood flow, they not only absorb more nutrients but waste is eliminated more efficiently which leads to healthier skin. This results in reduced puffiness because the electrical currents help drain the lymph nodes more efficiently.

We know how hard you work to perform the highest quality microcurrent facials, and our goal is to provide you with the most efficacious products that will help you get the best outcome from a microcurrent facial. That is why we have optimized our products for microcurrent facials.
When Cellagenix products are used during microcurrent facials, the skin rejuvenation and healing results are enhanced significantly because microcurrent facials prime the skin to absorb the nutrients in our products. This enhanced absorption happens because the channels that are created in the skin provide an efficient pathway for nutrients to get to the deepest layers of the skin. The combination of our already potent products with the benefits of microcurrent facials is the perfect match to bring on healthy, revitalized skin.
In order to reach maximum health, skin cells need proper nutrition that is not hindered by toxins. Many skincare companies put good ingredients in their formulations, but they also put harsh preservatives in them (ex: parabens, formaldehyde releasers, Phenoxyethanols) that largely negate the positive benefits of the nutrition. As a result, the skin cells get triggered and irritated by the preservatives. We create our products by taking a different approach than other skincare companies: we only use natural probiotic based preservatives that nourish the skin cells.
Another difference between Cellagenix and other skincare companies is that many companies pack the majority of their formulations with humectants like glycerine which plump the skin cells with water and provide a short term esthetic benefit without enhancing the cells metabolic function. (Some are adding up to 75% humectants in the formula). While this is not a bad thing, it gives the false impression that wrinkles are subsiding because they are plumped up with water. (Note: humectants are a good ingredient when they are not overused; we believe that formulations should have fewer than 10% humectants).
What we want to achieve is to provide the skin cells with so many vitamins and minerals that create a longer term solution to aging skin by making it healthier naturally. This is why our products have an incredibly high ratio of bio-active ingredients to base formula, instead of the other way around like many other skincare products.
That is why Estheticians that work with Cellagenix love our products: they provide results without giving your client’s skin toxins or inactive ingredients that don’t work. 2. Laser Resurfacing Technology
Laser resurfacing is a facial rejuvenation procedure that uses a laser to improve the skin’s appearance and enhance the tone, texture, and pigmentation of the skin. This treatment can be done using either an ablative or nonablative laser. An ablative laser removes the epidermis and heats the dermis, which promotes the growth of new collagen fibers and leads to tighter skin. A nonablative laser is a newer technology that penetrates the epidermis without injuring it and slowly heats the dermis. This method also stimulates collagen but is less effective and works over a longer period of time.
Using a laser on the skin stimulates collagen production which helps improve skin tone and texture and minimizes facial wrinkles, scares, and sun-damaged skin.8 It works because the laser creates tiny microscopic areas of thermal damage that stimulate a repair signal in the skin which stimulates collagen production. In a study published in the Facial Plastic Surgery Archives, a group of roughly 50 patients saw a 45% reduction of facial wrinkles after a laser resurfacing treatment using CO2. 3 As time goes on, new laser technologies are on the rise and these procedures will only get more effective and have fewer side effects.

We know how hard you work to perform the highest quality laser resurfacing treatment, and our goal is to provide the most efficacious products that will help you get the best outcome from the laser resurfacing. Cellagenix’s skincare products can help heal the associated wounds from a laser treatment heal more effectively by providing them with the nutrients their skin needs to recover more quickly. Our products work to regenerate the dermal matrix at the cellular level with gentle yet effective bio active ingredients.
In order for skin cells to recover efficiently and effectively from laser resurfacing, skin cells need proper nutrition that is not hindered by toxins. We create our products by taking a different approach than other skincare companies: we only use natural probiotic based preservatives that nourish the skin cells after your treatment.

Cellagenix Post-laser protocol:
If possible, have your client begin a skin health regimen four weeks before a laser treatment. We recommend that your clients use a daily cleanser, toner, serum and protective creme to ensure the best possible outcome while minimizing any negative side effects. This preparation will speed healing time because it reduces inflammation in the treated area, which helps return the skin back to optimal health quicker.

Aging Skin
Every year after age 20, collagen production decreases 1% which leaves the skin more fragile and prone to wrinkles. Everyday stressors like poor diet, toxins, and pollution affect our skin, and cause the dermal structure to degrade significantly. However, in the last two decades, multiple studies in skincare science have revealed the potential that the skin has to retain it’s youthfulness.
In a study published by the National Academy of Science, researchers found that there is a stem cell population in the epidermis that can regenerate the squamous epithelium, which is a layer of cells in the epidermis. 4 These epidermal cells showed very little evidence of normal age dependent effects and did not see a significant loss of function or cellular degradation.
This study has profound implications for dermatologic anti-aging therapies and products because it shows the potential for stem cells to help reverse damage and keep the skin youthful. More research still needs to be done to fully discover how we can slow the aging of skin cells, but this study sets a precedent because it shows that certain skin cells don’t always show factors of aging when stimulated with stem cells.
Another discovery in skincare science is the importance of adding antioxidants, polyphenols and flavonoids to one’s skincare routine. The reason this is so important is that they help fight off free radicals that damage collagen. Free radicals are unstable atoms that lead to quicker aging because they break down collagen, leading to skin cell degradation. As a result, much of science care science is aimed at minimizing free radical damage.
One other way to enhance collagen production and metabolism is through cell regulators such as retinols, peptides and growth factors.10 Adding them in formulations leaves the skin healthier and leads to fewer wrinkles and less pigmentation in the skin. All these studies and discoveries lays out a path for how skincare formulations can be the most effective, and Cellagenix has taken note of the research!
Cellagenix Skincare is devoted to keeping up with the newest anti-aging research and aligning our formulations to reflect advancements in modern skincare science. Our products are specifically formulated to make your client’s aging skin healthy at the cellular level by reversing damage in their skin. Our mission is to always use clean, bio-active, results driven ingredients to bring health and vitality back to your client’s skin.
As we discussed in the section above this one, there are many studies that show that the skin needs a combination of stem cells, vitamins and minerals to bring it back to proper nutrition. You can be confident that our formulations are packed with the most pure, effective, toxin free, bio-active ingredients that will make your client’s skin youthful looking. We add plant stem cells, vitamins, antioxidants, polyphenols, and flavonoids to all our formulations to ensure that your client’s skin cells gets the proper nutrition it deserves.
Cellagenix uses plant stem cells in our formulations, so our products are natural and cruelty free. Our stem cells are made in the lab so they are quality controlled and very potent and will bring your clients the results they desire: reduced wrinkles, less pigmentation, increased collagen and elastin production, and plumper skin.
While other skincare companies pack the majority of their formulations with humectants like glycerine which plump the skin cells with water and provide a short term esthetic benefit without enhancing the cells metabolic function. (Some are adding up to 75% humectants in the formula). While this is not a bad thing, it gives the false impression that wrinkles are subsiding because they are plumped up with water. Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a painless and noninvasive skin resurfacing procedure that is used to treat uneven skin tone, stretch marks, melasma, and scaring.
During a microdermabrasion procedure, tiny crystals hit the skin and are then vacuumed up by the microdermabrasion machine. This process helps remove the stratum corneum, which is the outermost layer of the epidermis. Studies have shown that taking off the top layer of the skin through microdermabrasion can make the skin more permeable and as a result it can help skincare products and topical medications get absorbed more quickly and efficiently.1,2,3
Microdermabrasion has many benefits for the skin including less pigmentation, enhanced skin firmness, and a lessening of scaring. Microdermabrasion causes a re-arrangement of melanosomes which are responsible for pigmentation in the skin. This rearranging helps minimize dark spots and pigmentation in the skin. Microdermabrasion also aids in increasing the density of collagen fibers, which makes them stronger and more resilient. Another benefit is that microdermabrasion can help decrease pore size as well as sebum (oil) levels. 10
In a study published by the Dermatologic Surgery Journal, a group of patients who had severe scarring underwent microdermabrasion treatments over 12-14 weeks. The results were that there was a statistically significant improvement in roughness, pigmentation, and overall improvement of skin appearance. Acne scarring sometimes improved, but required going deeper and taking off more of the epidermis to see an effect. 11 Overall, the study shows that microdermabrasion helps create firmer, more taut skin, less pigmentation, and a decrease in scarring. (Depending on the sversity of the scars).

Cellagenix products pair really well with microdermabrasion procedures. When the epidermis is removed during microdermabrasion, the wound healing process is triggered and a new epidermis begins to form. As this process unfolds, it is really important to nourish the skin with clean, bio active ingredients that speed up the recovery process.
Cellagenix products can help your client’s skin. Our products exclude any harmful ingredients, and the ingredients we do put in our formulations are mindfully chosen to stimulate and aid in the wound healing process at the cellular level.
In order for skin cells to heal quickly and be healthy they need proper nutrition that is not hindered by toxins.

Microneedling
Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), is a procedure that uses a device with tiny needles to puncture the skin which stimulates the release of growth factors and cytokines that produce collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are proteins that make the skin look more youthful and plump and also help strengthen capillaries which promotes healthy circulation and overall skin health.
Microneedling creates micro channels that trigger the skin’s natural ability to repair itself and produce more collagen and elastin which improves the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars, loss of firmness, brown spots and stretch marks.
In 2015, The International Society of Dermatology conducted a study on the benefits of Microneedling. The participants in the study all had moderate to severe wrinkles before starting the treatment. They each received six microneedling treatments every two weeks, and photos were captured before the treatment, as well as one and three months after the treatment. The results showed that Microneedling is a promising anti-aging technology that enhances collagen production which leads to an overall youthful appearance in the skin as well as a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, and pore size. It also left the skin with enhanced suppleness, and elasticity. (However, This was only the case if the client received multiple Microneedling treatments). 6
- Scleroderma (skin tightness caused by swelling)
- Collagen vascular diseases or cardiac abnormalities
- Rosacea and blood-clotting problems
- Active bacterial or fungal infection
- Scars less than six months old.
Cellagenix products are packed with bio-active vitamins, minerals, peptides, plant stem cells, and antioxidants that enhance and speed up the healing process after microneedling treatments to help your client’s skin recover quickly. While our products work well when they are applied topically, the results are FAR better when paired with microneedling, because all the effective ingredients can go straight to the deepest layers of the skin and have a profound effect on the reduction of wrinkles, reduced brown spots and stretch marks.

Chemical Peels
Chemexfoliation, also known as a chemical peel, is a treatment where a chemical substance is applied to the skin that peels off the epidermis and sometimes part of the dermis. This triggers a healing response in the skin and stimulates it to regenerate itself. Chemical peels fall into these categories: superficial (the mildest), medium, and deep peels.
- Lightest peels include: low-potency glycolic, salicylic acid, and retinoic acid (10-20%). They gently exfoliate only the outside layer of the skin.
- Lighter peels include: far stronger glycolic acid (40 to 70%) they are used to improve aging.
- Medium peels include: 70% glycolic acid are used to improve aging skin as well as smooth rough skin.
- Deepest peels include: a strong combination of trichloroacetic acid (greater than 50%) and also generally include croton oil-phenol combinations.Deep peels are used to treat severe wrinkles, long-term sun damage, pronounced pigment changes, and lesions and growths on the skin. Patients may see dramatic results in skin appearance. Deep peels should not be done on darker skin types because it bleaches darker skin.
Note: to figure out what kind of peel you should use on each client, refer to the Fitzpatrick classification which classifies patients into six different complexion colors/types by their reaction to sun exposure.
Chemical peels can have many benefits. They improve the texture and quality of the skin, reduce pigmentation, reduce sun spots and age spots, and can improve the appearance of mild scarring. Overall they improve the texture and quality of the skin. 1
Contraindications: (Liver and Kidney tests are encouraged before phenol peels to insure the client can handle the potential toxicity)
- Complications include skin edema, burning, itching sensations, and blistering.
- Emergency situations include: Anaphylactic reactions, ocular mucosal splashes, and cardiac arrhythmia (These are associated with phenol application.
- Delayed complications (usually happen in a few weeks) include bacterial, viral, or fungal infections.
Since there are risks associated with chemical peels, it is important that you have your clients prepare their skin for a minimum of two weeks before the peel. This preparation will strengthen the skin, feeding it the nutrients it needs to speed up healing time and improve the results. (See section on how to use Cellagenix products with chemical peels)
- Redness and swelling. Some redness is expected after a chemical peel. With deeper peels or certain skin types, redness can be severe and last several months.
- Color changes in the skin. Areas treated by a chemical peel may be darker or lighter than the surrounding areas. This can be permanent.
- Crusting and scaling. Can lead to scarring without the proper care.
- Swelling, especially around the eyes.
- Allergic reaction to the acid chemical used.
- People who have a history of herpes outbreaks are especially prone to infection after a chemical peel.
- Increased sensitivity to sunlight.
- In rare cases, deep peels using Phenol can cause more severe complications during the procedure, including damage to the heart, liver or kidneys.
Cellagenix products can help your client’s skin. When the epidermis is removed during a chemical peel, the wound healing process is triggered and a new epidermis begins to form. As this process unfolds, it is really important to nourish the skin with clean, bio active ingredients that speed up the dermal recovery process.
Our products exclude any harmful ingredients, and the ingredients we do put in our formulations are mindfully chosen to stimulate and aid in the wound healing process at the cellular level.
The estheticians we work with rave about the healing effects of our products after a chemical peel because our products help the skin regenerate itself quickly. Cellagenix products work because we pack our products with an incredibly high ratio of bio-active ingredients to base formula and we ensure that our potent bio-active ingredients are delivered into the deepest layers of the skin through our enhanced liposomal delivery systems.

Intense Pulsed Light Therapy
Intense Pulsed Light Therapy is a treatment that uses the energy from light to improve the color and texture of skin by using specific wavelengths to target different skin conditions. The wavelengths generated by the device heat the skin, which gets rid of the unwanted cells that cause the problem in the skin. Intense Pulsed Light Therapy can treat multiple skin conditions at once because it emits multiple wavelengths that each get rid of their own set of undesirable cells. Intense Pulsed Light Therapy does not harm other skin tissues.
Intense pulsed light was first used in 1996, when it successfully treated 80 patients with treatment-resistant facial port wine stains in Germany.1,2 Since then, it has become a successful therapy to treat wrinkles, sun damaged skin, and redness, and to remove tattoos, scars, and undesired hair.
A study conducted by Stanford University showed that people who received two or three Intense pulsed light therapy treatments a year for a decade, had genes that began to alter and look younger. 11 This study has profound implications for the use of IPL because it shows that if used often enough, it can prevent superficial signs of aging in the skin.
Intense pulsed light therapy is also effective at minimizing sun damage from the skin. It is able to attack melanin in the skin that causes discolored skin cells. This helps get rid of dark age spots and leaves the skin vibrant and even toned.
Intense pulsed light therapy is one of the most effective treatments for dissolving spider veins and other cosmetic issues associated with blood vessels because the light gets absorbed really efficiently by red blood cells. This helps dissolve broken capillaries which leads to more even complexion.
While intense pulsed light therapy obviously leads to great results for many clients, it’s effectiveness varies with certain factors. For example, because IPL is so effective at targeting melanin in the skin, it can cause skin lightening for very tanned people or those with naturally dark skin. Other than that, the risks are pretty low with IPL.
- Recent sunburn
- Active infections
- History of seizures
- Unprotected sun exposure or solarium use 4 weeks prior to treatment
- Pregnancy
- Severe dermatitis or eczema (within the treatment area)
- Roaccutane use in the last 6 months
- Herpes 1 or 2 (within the treatment area)
- Very dark skin
- Hair removal
At Cellagenix, we respect and admire all the incredibly effective treatments you perform on your clients and all the hard work you put in to making them feel happier in their skin. Our goal is to provide you with the most effective products to enhance your treatments and yield even greater results than you would without using our products. Our products are mindfully created to prep your client’s skin to perform an Intense Pulsed Light Therapy Treatment, as well as to heal at the cellular level post treatment.
In order to reach maximum health post treatment, skin cells need proper nutrition that is not hindered by toxins. We create our products by taking a different approach: we only use natural probiotic based preservatives that nourish the skin cells.
We want to provide the skin cells with so many vitamins and minerals that help your treatments provide the best results. This is why our products have an incredibly high ratio of bio-active ingredients to base formula, instead of the other way around like many other skincare products.
Lastly, we ensure that our potent bio-active ingredients are delivered into the deepest layers of the skin through our enhanced liposomal delivery systems so that they can have the most pronounced effect on skin health. Ultherapy
Ultherapy is a nonsurgical alternative to a facelift that uses ultrasound energy to firm and tighten existing collagen and stimulate new natural collagen production. The ultrasound energy results in firmer, less saggy skin and fewer wrinkles. It can be performed on the face, neck, chest, and other body parts that could benefit from tighter skin.
It works by using ultrasound energy to create cellular friction caused by the heat generated from the device. The heat briefly reaches temperatures of 140 degrees Fahrenheit which helps contour and rejuvenate the skin and deeper subcutaneous tissues to help make the skin more taut.
You can customize the treatment for each of your clients by adjusting both the energy and focal depth of the ultrasound in the tissue layer. Currently available transducers emit frequencies of 10.0 MHz, 7.0 MHz, and 4.0 MHz with focal depths of 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, and 4.5 mm, respectively. THe more severe the skin issue the deeper the ultrasound should go, up until 4.5mm.
Ultherapy is an effective treatment that is well approved by the FDA and is the “go-to” procedure for lifting eyebrow, neck and under chin skin. The ultrasound energy created by the device helps create results in firmer, less saggy skin and fewer wrinkles because the minor heat wounds generate collagen. It can be performed on the face, neck, chest, and other body parts that could benefit from tighter skin.
A study published in the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology looked at 50 patients who each received one ultherapy treatment and were followed up with six months after treatment. 50% of the participants believed they looked years younger and nearly three-quarters would recommend Ultherapy to others.
- Open wounds or lesions.
- Severe or cystic acne in the treatment area.
- Active implants (e.g., pacemakers or defibrillators), or metallic implants in the treatment area.
At Cellagenix, we want to work with you to create lasting effects from the ultherapy treatments you perform. Our products are optimized to help the skin recover from the heat wounds that come from ultherapy, because we pack our products with the right bioactive nutrients to support healing.
In order for the skin to recover quickly post treatment, skin cells need proper nutrition that is not hindered by toxins.
Instead of making the majority of our formulas full of humectants to temporarily plump the skin and ease the appearance of wrinkles, we pack our products with bioactive nutrients that are delivered to the deepest layers of the skin through advanced systems. The skincare professionals we work with love that our products have an incredibly high ratio of bio-active ingredients to base formula, instead of the other way around like many other skincare products. Since our products have so many vitamins and minerals, we are able to help you speed up the recovery process from treatments as well as make the skin innately more healthy.
For best results, have your clients prepare their skin before the Ultherapy treatment with our products one month in advance. Have them follow the Morning and Evening procedures.
